Gemini III

Gemini III is a 45 ft cruiser stern narrowboat.

This means that you have a large rear deck for enjoying the scenery as you chug along the canal network with your guests.

The boat is a traditional layout meaning from the rear deck you enter the cabin (bedroom), then come to the bathroom (also known as “the head” in nautical circles), Galley or (kitchen), and then the Saloon (lounge) before exiting the bow doors onto the well deck.

Gemini has been through a refurbishment to her interior and also had an overhaul of the engine and other functions as well as a spruce up throughout including a new kitchen and decorating.

She is a cute little boat and just the right size for those who haven’t driven a narrowboat before and might otherwise be put off by a 70 ft full size narrowboat.

Boat Layout

From the rear deck you enter the Cabin (bedroom) which has a double bed, next comes the bathroom with shower, w.c. and basin. Down the corridor you arrive at the Galley (kitchen) which is fully equipped with everything for your stay. This has an open plan layout into the Saloon (lounge) which also features a wood / coal burning stove to keep you warm. On the front deck through French doors there is a fold down table and room for three chairs – a great place for a glass of wine!

A living museum

The canals are truly a wonder of engineering! Built some nearly 300 years ago without a JCB or hard hat in sight. A true testament to the men and women involed in its construction. See these wonders in person during your stay with us.
