Or in the case of my beautiful wife and I, it offers a second cabin of the same high standard of comfort from which to escape the snore machine to! (I wonder how long it will be till someone tells her I wrote this?…. shhh!)

Intro to Narrowboat Columbina

A fabulous narrowboat for a family holiday or extended cruising.

This is an excellent boat to explore the Cheshire Ring, Four Counties Ring, Caldon Canal or other longer cruising route as the additional crew you can accommodate come in very handy with all those locks and swing bridges!

Cabins

Having two king size beds (the second of which lifts up during the day) as well as a double dinette, two bathrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen, Columbina is perfect for a family or group holiday, providing all the space you could need for a comfortable stay.

Bow to Stern

Cabin

Beginning with the bow and the main cabin you will find a sumptuous, king sized bed, along with a television for those lazy mornings. Here, there is also ample storage for your stay.

Bathroom

Just beyond the main bathroom, which houses a large shower, wash basin and toilet, you come to the most distinctive feature of this boat: the king sized bed amidships that easily raises up and locks into place during the day.

Beyond the midship cabin is a second bathroom, with toilet and washbasin; a handy addition for those travelling as part of a larger group.

Kitchen

Next, is the fully-equipped galley with 4 ring cooker; oven & grill; microwave and refrigerator with freezer compartment. You will find all you need to cook up a storm and endless cups of tea for your captain and crew mates.

Saloon

To the rear is the saloon with seating that converts into a double bed. It has a removable dining table, television, and a radio that plays throughout the boat. The saloon is in the perfect position to chat to your captain as you cruise along the canals of Cheshire; alternatively, you can join them on the sizable rear deck to admire your surroundings.

Sorry, the minimum crew for a boat hire is 2 people.

We are expecting our day boat to be available from May 2024.

Holiday hires close at this time, however we maybe able to organise a longer hire over winter of 4 weeks or more.
